How We Met

It is obvious that the two of us were meant to meet each other.  One day we were both sitting at the orthodontist office in the waiting room.  It was unusual to have somebody my own age in the waiting room with me, and especially somebody so good looking!  We were both in our work outfits, she was in scrubs studying chemistry, and I was in my jumpsuit since I had just gotten off work a couple hours earlier.  We smiled at each other, talked for a few minutes, and then I was called back to see the doctor.  When I was finished, she was not in the waiting room anymore.  I remember thinking "I wish I had gotten her phone number, but I will never see her again now."  Well as fate would have it, later that same evening my friend David called me and asked if I wanted to have some drinks downtown that evening for his birthday.  Matt was planning to come in town around 10 or 11 for Dad's wedding, so I figured a few drinks before then couldn't hurt.  I met up with him and a few friends, and he told me that he had also invited his cousin to hang out with us.  A little while later his cousin entered the bar and I was completely shocked when I realized it was the same girl from the orthodontist office earlier that day.  She ran up and gave me a hug before she even hugged David.  We talked and laughed all night and the rest is history!
